Morning Glory Bridge

NABSQNO 12S 629863 – 4272731

This very large arch - not a natural bridge – is one of the largest in not only the United States but also in the world. It currently ranks 5th with a span of 243 ft and a height of 75 ft. (November 2009 – more accurate measurements may move it up or down the list). It is located at the head of the second side canyon to the right of Negro Bill Canyon to the north of Moab.

It is not as photogenic as many of the other very large arches as there is only a 15 ft gap between it and the cliff wall. It was so named because of a pool of water beneath the arch resembles the famous Morning Glory Pool in Yellowstone National Park.
