Ojcow National Park, just a 30/40 minutes drive from the centre of Krakow has numerous caves only two of which are open to the public. Jaskina Ciemna – Dark Cave is one of these. The area was home to Poland's earliest known inhabitants who dwelled there some 120,000 years ago.
Diorama Arch is located at the end of a small platform that has been constructed on the other side of Jaskina Ciemna Arch. Here there is a representation of what those inhabitants were like. Two figures are in front of the arch while a third stands by the back opening. The arch has a span of about 9 ft and a height of 12 ft.
