Raven Rock Arch

Raven Rock Arch

NABSQNO 17S 321391 – 4287549

This small but attractive arch can be seen from highway US 52 south west of Portsmouth. Access, however, requires a permit, as the arch is part of Raven Rock State Nature Preserve. The arch has a span of 12 ft and a height of 7 ft.

Legend has it that Shawnee Indians used Raven Rock as a lookout point to forewarn the approach of pioneers using the Ohio River.
