Bogenfels Rock

Bogenfels Rock

Bogenfels - Afrikaans for arch - is described as the largest sea arch in southern Africa. The arch is in a restricted diamond area so access is only possible by taking a tour with Kolmanskop Tours out of the town of Luderitz. The area around the arch is subject to morning coastal fog however this usually clears by noon. The arch is about 149 feet high. There are three other sea arches close by and it is possible to photograph all four together.
