El Arco

Baja California Sur. Known as just The Arch, El Arco is situated off the coast near to the resort of Cabo San Lucas. It is located at an area known as Land’s End as travelling due south from there the next land mass is Antarctica. The arch separates the Sea of Cortez to the east from the Pacific Ocean in the west and is the main tourist attraction of the town and is featured in many publications. Although many photographs show persons walking by the arch access is only possible every four years or so when conditions permit.

Most, if not all, boat tours stop for a view of the arch. Numerous small boats or water taxis take tourists to view the arch for a small fee. 

The arch has a span of about 47 ft and a height of about 34 ft.
