Powell County.  The Red River Gorge, an intricate canyon system of the Red River in east central Kentucky, has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Most of the George is located inside the Daniel Boone National Forest. There are more than 100 natural arches and bridges in the area.

There is a viewpoint for Star Gap Arch on Tunnel Ridge Road not too far from Gray's Arch. A trail of less than 1 mile leads to the arch.

It has a span of 72 ft and a height of 14 ft.
