NABSQNO 16S 721383 - 4056507

McCreary County. The whole of the county lies completely within the Daniel Boone National Forest which is managed by the US Forest Service.

In the south of the county near to the small community of Barthell is the Big South Fork National River and Recreational Area. The area extends across the state line into Tennessee. Split Bow Arch is probably one of the easiest arches to visit in the area. An overlook for the arch is only a few feet from a parking spot. There is a trail that goes to the base of the arch in just over ½ mile.

The arch has a span of 52 ft and a height of 50 ft.
