First Bridge under the Sun

Hunan Province. Although also known as Tianxia Diyi Qiao in Chinese which translates as Bridge across the Sky, First Bridge under the Sun is the name used on the three informative plaques at the arch. The majestic arch is high up between two mountains and is located in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area.

The arch has a span of about 130 ft and a height of about 1150 ft. However, one of the plaques suggests that the height maybe as much as 1250 ft.
