Ranks 140. Fiery Furnace Area. The Fiery Furnace is an area of complex and confusing passages winding around high sandstone walls. It is easy to find yourself lost and disoriented. The park service restricts the number of daily visitors and requires them to watch a video before entering the area. Most people take special ranger led tours. This is one of the arches that is pointed out on the tour. The arch can only be seen edge on from the tour.

The larger opening has a span of 14 ft and a height of 50ft.
